March 19 represents the 8th anniversary since the invasion and occupation of Iraq. There are still over 50,000 U.S. troops inside this Middle-Eastern nation and over 100,000 private contractors. Iraqis and U.S. soldiers are still being killed every month and tens of billions of tax dollars are being spent every week.
In Afghanistan the war still rages after nearly ten years of U.S. occupation. The war in Afghanistan has been extended into Pakistan where anti-American demonstrations are being held this week.
There are threats of an invasion of Libya and the commencement of yet another war in North Africa. The U.S. has supported the Bahrain monarchy where the Fifth Fleet is stationed threatening another war in the Gulf.
Please join us in protesting all of these wars that cost the working people of the U.S. over $800 billion annually, resulting in deaths of both Americans as well as Iraqis, Afghans, Pakistanis and others.
Our slogan since 2001 has been: “Money for Jobs, Housing, Education, Healthcare, and Public Services, Not War! Bring the Troops Home Now!
The major demands for this year’s demonstration are:

--Close the School of the Americas
--U.S./NATO: Hands Off Libya and Iran
--End the Military Industrial Complex
--Money for People’s Needs Not Racism and War
--Solidarity With Palestine, the Egyptian People, the Workers of Wisconsin, Ohio and Michigan
--Tear Down the U.S. War Machine
