Moratorium NOW! Coalition and MECAWI Mobilize for Detroit Neighborhood Assembly
Moratorium NOW! and MECAWI will be spreading out throughout Detroit's east side community this Saturday and also Aug. 13 to build for a neighborhood assembly at a local east side park on Aug. 14.
We need volunteers to help get out fliers door to door, operate sound cars and do postering. We will meet at the corner of E. Warren Ave. and Alter Road (Corregan Playground/Park) at 10 AM.
If you need a ride call me at 313-680-5508. If you get to the office at 5920 Second Ave. by 9:30 AM, a car will take you to the east side.
If you come after 10 am you can contact me to give you an assignment. We will be done by 2 PM.
This is a major mobilization to try to involve more grass roots people in the fight for a moratorium on foreclosures, jobs, education, health care and to save social security.
thanks
David Sole
