This program features an African American History Month broadcast recorded live in Detroit. The program was entitled "A Revolutionary Perspective on the Emancipation Proclamation and the Civil War."

The program featured Abayomi Azikiwe, editor of the Pan-African News Wire, delivering the keynote speech which covered the African revolts against slavery, the decline of slavery, the Civil War and the failure of Reconstruction in the United States.

Held in honor of the 145th anniversary of the birth of W.E.B. Du Bois and the 150th anniversary of the Emancipation Proclamation, the program consist of over two hours of information and analysis of these historical issues and the relevance to developments today.
