Syria has been under fire for the last two years by United States and NATO-backed rebels seeking to overthrow the government of the Arab Baath Socialist Party headed by President Bashar al-Assad. The most recent machinations involve the Arab League Summit that was held in Doha, Qatar.
The Syria government has been expelled from the Arab League and in Doha the opposition was seated by the Emirates.
This interview with RT exposes the unrepresentative character of the modern Arab League.
The representative of the armed opposition to the Assad government openly called for the bombing of Syria by the imperialist countries.
Although the rebels are in disarray and have no program for the political and economic future of the country, they are being financed and promoted by the U.S.-NATO forces and their allies in the Gulf region.
RT provides alternative voices in the foreign policy debates raging throughout the world about Syria and other geopolitical regions.
