Voices of the 99 Percent radio network's "Bullet Points" program hosted by Navid Nasr interviewed Abayomi Azikiwe, editor of the Pan-African News Wire, on September 25. The interview extended into a broad range of issues including the war against Syria, the role of Iran and Hizbollah and the state of Israel as well as the United States.

Also the significance of the alternative media in the movement against war and racism was a point of discussion. Azikiwe discussed the significance of the Syrian Arab News Agency (SANA), Press TV, RT, Workers World and the Pan-African News Wire in uncovering developments in Syria and throughout the Middle East.

The discussion also examined the Westgate Mall incident in Nairobi, Kenya where 67 people were killed in an attack by Al-Shabaab armed combatants.

Azikiwe explained the regional basis for the tensions between Somalia and Kenya, the role of the Kenyan Defense Forces, U.S. imperialism's role in Somalia and Kenya in addition to the status of Israel in Kenya.
