On Thursday December 19, Abayomi Azikiwe, editor of the Pan-African News Wire, was a featured guest on the Emanations radio program hosted by Bernard White. The program airs for three hours. Azikiwe was on for forty-five minutes during the second hour.

Azikiwe, a longtime researcher and analyst on African affairs, reviewed the history of Nelson Mandela's political life and the struggle that has erupted over the meaning and character of his social legacy. Mandela passed away on December 5. His transition and subsequent memorials, tributes and a state funeral in South Africa was one of the most widely covered events in world history.

Millions participated in memorial services in South Africa and many more watched and followed these events through television, radio, newspapers and social media. Various media outlets presented strikingly dissimilar views on the meaning and significance of major events in Mandela's life.

Emanations is a program hosted Monday through Friday by Bernard White over CPRMetro.org based in New York City and broadcasting across the globe utilizing live streaming. CPRMetro.org is now celebrating its second anniversary of programming.

Abayomi Azikiwe also hosts a program over CPRMetro.org called the Pan-African Journal. This program focuses on news developments in Africa and throughout the world.
