BEIJING, November 20. /TASS/. Russia and China should not permit to drive a wedge in relations between the two countries that would suit the United States, Vice-Minister of the International Department of the Chinese Communist Party Central Committee Zhou Li said at a meeting with Russian journalists on Thursday.
“Russia and China face different challenges. But I can say with confidence that we will face more challenges in the near future. We should fight together, protecting interests of our countries. Mostly important is not to permit to drive a wedge between our countries that Americans would like to see very much,” he said.
Meanwhile, Li noted that the European Union sought to impose its views and values on Serbia in a bid to make the country join anti-Russian sanctions.
“The EU seeks to impose its values on Serbia, making anti-Russian sanctions as a precondition for the entry in the EU,” he said, adding “As a matter of fact, this is a matter of choice which Serbian government, including the ruling party and opposition, face.
