Yemen President to Visit Khartoum on Saturday
August 27, 2015 (KHARTOUM) – The Yemen President Abd-Rabbu Mansour Hadi will fly to Sudan on Saturday for talks with his counterpart Omer Hassan al-Bashir.

A government source, said that the visit comes within the framework of Sudan’s support of legitimacy Yemen and also in the framework of communication between Arab brothers and to coordinate efforts and support the bilateral relations.

Hadi met on Thursday with Sudan ambassador to Saudi Arabia Abdul-Hafiz Ibrahim and expressed appreciation to the positive role being played by Sudan to support legitimacy in Yemen.

He pointed out that Sudan is an important partner in the Arab coalition in Yemen adding that his country looks forward for fruitful cooperation with Sudan in all domains.

Meanwhile, Ibrahim told Sudan news agency (SUNA) that the meeting came in response to the desire of the Yemeni President to convey the thanks of the Yemeni people to the government and people of Sudan for extending medical support for his country.

Sudan is a member of the Saudi-led military coalition dubbed as “Operation Firmness Storm” against the Iranian-backed Houthi rebels in Yemen.

The operation which started last March aims to reinstate Hadi as president and flush rebels from main cities in Yemen.
