During this broadcast we will feature our regular PANW reports with dispatches on events in the West African state of Burkina Faso where another military coup took place in an effort to halt the previously scheduled upcoming elections in October; the European migration crisis is worsening with the hostility directed towards hundreds of thousand fleeing imperialist wars and capitalist-imposed economic turmoil throughout the Middle East, Africa and Asia; the United States is building a fence between the West African states of Nigeria and Niger in light of the burgeoning conflict surrounding the Boko Haram insurgency throughout the region; and the North African state of Libya is sinking deeper into chaos some four years after the Central Intelligence Agency (CIA) and the Pentagon engineered a war of regime-change that forcefully removed and executed former leader Col. Muammar Gaddafi along with tens of thousands of loyalists.
In the second and third hours we will continue our month-long focus on race relations with reports on the impact of U.S. and Candaian foreign policy in Africa since World War II.
Finally in the third hour we examine through archived classic radio dramatizations two important aspects of the history of African Americans: the political work and consequent assassination of Charles Caldwell during Reconstruction in Mississippi and the Great Migration from the South to the North during the twentieth century.
