Burundian Senate President Reverien Ndikuriyo Monday Launched the February Ordinary Session During Which at Least 14 Bills Will be Analyzed

“During this session, we will analyze at least 14 bills forwarded by the government.

We will also continue to monitor the government activities and we will continue to go to the countryside to visit citizens who elected us,” said Burundian Senate President Reverien Ndikuriyo at the launch of session.

Bills to be analyzed during the three-month session notably include the bill on the prevention and repression of gender-based violence, the bill on the forest code, the bill on public debt management, the bill on fisheries and aquaculture, the bill on the code of urbanization, habitat and construction in Burundi and the bill on the code of electronic communications and posts.
Ndikuriyo called on security and defense forces to remain united.

“We call on security and defense forces to be more vigilant and to avoid anyone who would divide them,” he said.

According to him, there are people who are “ready” to send foreign troops into Burundi and “annihilate legendary bravery” of Burundian security and defense forces. Enditem
