Shameful Conduct of Politically Blind
On August 6 when the US concocted anti-DPRK sanctions resolution 2371 by abusing the UNSC while criticizing the DPRK’s ICBM test fire as a “threat to international peace and security”, the south Korean ruling and opposition parties boisterously welcomed it as if they awaited it.

The Liberal Korea and other conservative parties put increasing pressure on Mun Jae In and his ruling party to apply tougher “sanctions against the north”, saying they “welcomed” the UNSC resolution in the light of “strong sanctions”, but “it fell short of the ban on oil supply, a lifeline for the north’s government”, and “it is undesirable to talk about dialogue to be out of time with the UN sanctions”.

The Minjoo Party, in the name of its spokesman, said that the new sanctions resolution showed the “resolute will” of the international community against the north, the north should seriously take the “united warning” sent by the international community and it should stop “reckless provocation” immediately. The Party of the People also behaved preposterously, saying in a comment of its spokesman that it hopes the recent anti-north sanctions would be a “catalyst for change in the north” and it urges the north to face the reality squarely and embark on the road of scrapping its nuclear programme for peace.

The ruling and opposition parties, which have been engrossed in dogfights for power, seem to be a flock of crows croaking with one voice for the fabrication of the recent sanctions resolution.

The “sanctions and pressure” trumpeted by the south Korean politicians proved to be useless long ago.

The south Korean ruling and opposition parties are too ignorant of the world as they try to maintain their existence by hanging onto the US master even today when the strategic confrontational structure between the DPRK and US has changed completely.

It is natural that the locals derisively call politicians of the ruling and opposition parties a group of “political dregs (a compound word of politician and dregs of society)” and “political mafioso (that of politician and mafioso)”.

The politically blind who are in a hurry unaware of the trend of the times cannot see the reality unfolding before them. It is as clear as day that the south Korean ruling and opposition parties would suffer disasters as they have danced to the tune of the US without correct judgment and opinion of their own, ignorant of the trend of the times that is rapidly changing due to the uplifted strategic position of the DPRK as a world nuclear power and military power and the predicament of the US master on the brink of ruin.
