''Life in northern Nigeria for a woman that wants to be something in the future is full of challenges'' Rahama Sadau has said.

She was cited as saying this in a chat with Thisday newspaper.

Sadau who was expelled last year from Kannywood by the Motion Pictures Practitioners Association of Nigeria (MOPPAN) over what the association considered an unethical appearance of the actress in a Musical video alongside a Jos based musician ClassiQ, attributed her successes in the entertainment industry to her expulsion from Kano based Hausa movie industry.

She said her expulsion from the industry has opened many windows of opportunities to her in the movie industry both at home and abroad.

The actress however disclosed that she will always take into consideration her culture and background before accepting a role in Nollywood films or any film industry within or outside the country.

Sadau had earlier refused to take up a role in one of the Nollywood  films as lesbian in recognition of her cultural and religious background.
