Officials Meet to Review Work for Implementing 5-Year Strategy
There took place a joint conference of officials of the Party, the state, the economy and armed forces organs in Pyongyang on December 28 to review this year's work for implementing the five-year strategy for national economic development.

Present there were Premier Pak Pong Ju, member of the Presidium of the Political Bureau of the Central Committee of the Workers' Party of Korea and vice-chairman of the State Affairs Commission of the DPRK, Pak Yong Sik, O Su Yong, An Jong Su, Ro Tu Chol, Choe Hwi, Pak Thae Dok and Ri Man Gon and officials of Party and armed forces organs, the Cabinet, working people's organizations, ministries and national agencies and officials of local Party and power organs and major industrial establishments.

The joint conference analyzed and reviewed the successes and defects in this year's work for carrying out the tasks, set forth by Supreme Leader Kim Jong Un in his New Year Address, and the five-year strategy for national economic development.

Pak Pong Ju in his report recalled that the Supreme Leader in his New Year Address advanced the tasks for accelerating the victorious advance of socialism with the great spirit of self-reliance and self-development as the dynamic force and brought about great national auspicious events, especially significant events, one after another.

He referred to the proud achievements the army and people of the DPRK made through an all-out campaign in the spirit of self-reliance and self-development to attain the goals for this year set by the Party.

All the successes made in this year's drive are a brilliant fruition of the Supreme Leader's distinguished and sagacious guidance, he added.

After analyzing the defects and lessons in this year's work, he stressed the need to victoriously attain the goals of the five-year strategy for national economic development set forth by the Party.

Then officials in different sectors of the national economy took the floor.
