Inter-Korean High-level Talks Held
High-ranking officials of the north and south of Korea got together at Thongil House in Panmunjom on March 29 to discuss an inter-Korean summit meeting amid mounting enthusiasm for national reconciliation and unity.

The north-south talks were attended by a DPRK delegation headed by Ri Son Gwon, chairman of the Committee for the Peaceful Reunification of the Country, and a south Korean delegation led by Jo Myong Gyun, minister of Unification.

They held a sincere consultation about the practical matters of the inter-Korean summit meeting, before adopting a joint press release.

It specifies the time and venue of the summit and the agreement that both sides will hold several working-level talks as preparation for the summit and discuss other matters through the exchange of documents.
