AVALON, Pa —Paul Morris Sr. says the racial slurs started first and then he was attacked by a group of at least eight to 10 people that included a few women.
The alleged incident happened July 7 at Jackman Inn, a neighborhood bar.
"I said 'Who are you?'" says Morris, after hearing the first round of slurs. "And he said, 'We are here to eradicate the earth of (racial slur), one-by-one.'"
Soon after, Morris says he was attacked physically and the bar manager says at least 10 people told police it was a racially motivated attack.
Several of the alleged attackers were identified as members of a well known white nationalist group, called Keystone Skinheads.
Charges have not been filed but Police Chief Tom Kokoski says charges will likely be filed this week.
"If there are any potential hate crimes or something of that nature, then these individuals are going to be appropriately charged."
