UN Says 300,000 Displaced by Conflict in Libya
880,000 people need humanitarian assistance

(ANSAmed) - TUNIS, NOVEMBER 15 - At least 300,000 people have been internally displaced in Libya, mainly due to fighting in Tripoli, Derna, and Murzuq, tweeted the UN Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (OCHA) in Libya on Friday.

In another tweet, it said a workshop in Tunis on Thursday titled "Libya 2020 Humanitarian Response Planning" with Libyan national stakeholders, donors, NGOs and UN agencies revealed that about 880,000 people are in need of humanitarian assistance as a result of the persisting political instability and deterioration in public services.(ANSAmed).
