Foreclose the War, Not Our Homes!: Washtenaw County Meeting to Support Passage of SB 1306 in Michigan

FORECLOSE the WAR, NOT OUR HOMES!

As the wars abroad continue, draining our communities of much need resources, we face increasing uncertainty as jobs disappear, gasoline prices skyrocket, homes are foreclosed and many families are thrown into the streets. It is time to fightback.

Join Washtenaw county activists in building a movement to fight for a Moratorium on Foreclosures and to organize grassroots support for Senate Bill 1306. Senate Bill 1306, introduced by Senator Hansen Clarke, would mandate a 2-year moratorium on foreclosures.

Modeled after bills passed in the 1930's and implemented in 25 states, SB1306 would establish a judicial procedure for determining affordable rental payments during the moratorium period, allowing families to remain in their homes.

Join the Moratorium NOW! Coalition to Stop Foreclosure and Evictions in an organizing meeting at
