Luanda — Angolan President, José Eduardo dos Santos, left this Friday morning for South Africa, to witness the inaugural ceremony of the World Cup in football.
The Angolan Head of State will attend the mentioned ceremony at the invitation of his South African counterpart, Jacob Zuma, ANGOP has learnt.
At Luanda international airport, the Angolan President received farewell greetings from his Vice-President, Fernando da Piedade Dias dos Santos, and various members of his Executive.
During his two-day stay in South Africa, President José Eduardo dos Santos will participate, with Jacob Zuma, in two tripartite summits.
One of the summits will have the participation of the Presidents Armando Guebuza of Mozambique, and Dennis Sassou Ngueso of Congo Brazzaville.
The championship starts this Friday with the game of South Africa versus Mexico.
