DETROIT (WJBK) - As hundreds of protesters are making their voices heard in New York with the Occupy Wall Street demonstration, Detroiters are working on their own economic movement.
Monday, a group called Moratorium Now! Coalition to Stop Foreclosures, Evictions & Utility Shutoffs met to talk about Michigan's current financial situation, but they're also trying to find solutions. We have been very instrumental in saving the homes of many people here in the City of Detroit and through other parts of Michigan, " Abayomi Azikiwe of Moratorium Now! tells Fox 2.
If you're interested in joining the cause, the group meets Monday nights at 5920 Second Avenue in Midtown.
