Raúl receives Russian Minister of Industry and Trade

PRESIDENT Raúl Castro Ruz received on November 5 Denis Manturov, Minister of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation.
During the cordial meeting, they discussed the current state of economic relations between the two countries and the results of the 10th session of the Cuban-Russian Intergovernmental Commission for economic-commercial and scientific-technical cooperation, which met in Havana.
The Cuban President sent greetings to President Vladimir Putin and conveyed his thanks for the immediate aid received from the Russian government in the wake of Hurricane Sandy, which lashed the country’s eastern region and caused significant damages.
Minister Manturov was accompanied by Mikhail Kamynin, the Russian ambassador in Havana and, on the Cuban side, by Ricardo Cabrisas Ruiz, Vice president of the Council of Ministers; Rodrigo Malmierca Díaz, Minister of Foreign Trade and Investment; and Emilio Lozada García, Cuban ambassador to the Russian Federation.
