Abayomi Azikiwe was interviewed on March 4, 2013 over WEAA, 88.9 FM, an National Public Radio affiliate in Baltimore. Azikiwe discussed over the Marc Steiner Show the ongoing elections in the East African state of Kenya.

The elections are coming amid the Kenyan Defense Forces involvement in Somalia and Nairobi's continuing alliance with the United States. The leading political figures in the elections, Uhuru Kenyatta and Raila Odinga, say they are committed to a peaceful poll.

Reports did emerge that some 15 people were killed on March 4 but it is not clear to what degree these developments are related to the elections.
