DPRK Rallies Against US Imperialist War Threats

Local Army-People Rallies Hail Statement of KPA Supreme Command

Pyongyang, March 14 (KCNA) -- Army-people rallies took place in cities and counties, including Munchon City, Unryul, Sungho, Junghwa, Sepho, Hamju, Sinphyong and Koksan counties, to support the statement issued by a spokesman for the Supreme Command of the Korean People's Army (KPA).

Present there were service personnel, officials of local party and power organs and working people's organizations, officials and other people of industrial establishments and cooperative farms and teachers and students of universities and colleges.

At the rallies speakers denounced the U.S. imperialists for prodding the UN Security Council into cooking up an additional "resolution on sanctions" against the DPRK while staging large-scale war maneuvers for aggression.

All service personnel and people have turned out in an all-out action against the enemies in a do-or-die spirit, they said, stressing that a final victory is in store for the army and people of the DPRK all out to protect its sovereignty. They went on:

It is the final conclusion and will of the DPRK to settle accounts with the U.S., the sworn enemy, only with arms. All service personnel and people will wage a decisive battle with the hostile forces and certainly achieve the cause of national reunification.

Only victory and glory are in store for the Korean people advancing under the uplifted banners bearing the portraits of smiling President Kim Il Sung and leader Kim Jong Il under the leadership of the dear respected Marshal Kim Jong Un.

FM Spokesman Hits Out at US for Contending AA Can't Be Dissolved Unilaterally

Pyongyang, March 14 (KCNA) -- A spokesman for the Foreign Ministry of the DPRK gave the following answer to a question put by KCNA Thursday as the U.S. and the forces kowtowing to it are insisting that the Korean Armistice Agreement (AA) can not be unilaterally dissolved:

The Supreme Command of the Korean People's Army announced that the AA will be totally nullified from March 11 when the U.S. nuclear war exercises aimed to stifle the DPRK get into full swing.

Accordingly the army and people of the DPRK turned out in an all-out action for foiling the U.S. moves aimed at a nuclear war and reunifying the country at an early date, completely unrestrained by AA.

But the U.S. and its allies are asserting that AA was adopted with mutual agreement and can not be dissolved unilaterally. This shows a sleight of hand they have employed to use the threadbare AA for escaping the DPRK's toughest counteraction.

Unlike other agreements, AA is not one that requires bilateral agreement to be rendered invalid from its peculiar nature and it will be naturally nullified if one side does not abide by it.

AA has long been invalid due to the systematic scrapping of it by the U.S. and the unreasonable behavior of the UN Security Council that backed the U.S. moves for the last six decades.

Armistice could remain though in name only because the DPRK exercised utmost self-restraint and patience.

The U.S. and the south Korean puppet forces are now holding Key Resolve and Foal Eagle joint military drills to light a fuse for a nuclear war with the involvement of huge aggression troops, the biggest violation of AA and an act of scrapping it.

Under the prevailing situation which is little different from a war in fact, the DPRK can no longer be bound to AA.

This is a stark reality in which AA is no longer valid.

The U.S. will have to hold full responsibility for scrapping and finally nullifying AA, in case the situation entails a catastrophic consequence on the Korean Peninsula.

Korean Committee for Solidarity with Cuba Meets

The meeting reviewed the work done by the Korean Committee for Solidarity with Cuba over the past one year for friendship and solidarity with the Cuban people who are advancing under the banner of socialism while destroying the imperialists' sanctions and blockade and the moves to isolate and stifle Cuba, and protecting the country's sovereignty and revolutionary gains under the leadership of the Communist Party of Cuba. The meeting discussed the action program of the committee for this year.

Kim Yong Nam Greets Chinese President, Chairman of NPC Standing Committee

Pyongyang, March 14 (KCNA) -- Kim Yong Nam, president of the Presidium of the DPRK Supreme People's Assembly, Thursday sent a congratulatory message to Xi Jinping on his election as president of the People's Republic of China and Zhang Dejiang as chairman of the Standing Committee of the Chinese National People's Congress at the first session of the 12th National People's Congress.

Kim in the message wished the Chinese people shining successes in the efforts to achieve the country's prosperity under the leadership of the Communist Party of China.

He wished them successes in their responsible jobs, expressing belief that the traditional relations of friendship and cooperation between the two countries would grow stronger thanks to the common efforts of the two sides.

Provocateurs Will Face Retaliatory Strike Anytime: CPRK

Pyongyang, March 14 (KCNA) -- The Secretariat of the Committee for the Peaceful Reunification of Korea issued the following information bulletin No. 1022 on Thursday:

The U.S. imperialists and the south Korean puppet warmongers are busy staging the madcap Key Resolve and Foal Eagle joint military exercises, pushing the situation on the Korean Peninsula to a more reckless phase.

In view of the grave situation, the DPRK declared at home and abroad that the Korean Armistice Agreement and all the north-south agreements on nonaggression would be nullified from March 11 when the saber-rattling is going into full swing and it would take stronger countermeasures in succession.

Pursuant to this, the army and people of the DPRK have taken positions for a final attack for national reunification and all sophisticated strike means including nuclear strike means are waiting for an order to hit the targets.

The important measures declared by the DPRK are a proper counteraction against the high-handed hostile actions of the U.S. imperialists and the puppet forces and their reckless moves to invade the north and ultimatum to them.

Nevertheless, the puppet forces are challenging the DPRK's measures, jabbering that they are "escalating tension" and "south Korea would strongly react to the attempt to scrap the agreements".

The puppet authorities and despicable reptile media are taking issue with the DPRK's important measures everyday, talking about "agreement of both sides", "international recognition" and the like. Not content with this, they are insisting that the saber-rattling is a "defensive drill being staged every year within the framework of the Armistice Agreement".

As recognized at home and abroad, the AA and the agreements on nonaggression have long been violated and reduced to dead papers by the U.S. imperialists and the south Korean puppet forces.

They are the very ones and arch criminals who have systematically violated the AA and the agreements on nonaggression since the very moment they were adopted and took effect.

All legal mechanisms for preventing military conflicts have become defunct in this land due to the unprecedented moves of the U.S. and the south Korean puppet forces to stifle the DPRK and their endless provocations, pushing the grave situation beyond control.

The U.S. nuclear carrier task forces and nuclear strategic bombers aimed to attack the DPRK have been busy operating in the seas of south Korea and its vicinity and the air above them all the year round.

Consequently, not a day passes without provocative exercises for a war of aggression against the DPRK.

As a result, the Korean Peninsula has turned into the most dangerous hotspot in the world and a dangerous nuclear arsenal where even a spark may ignite a nuclear war.

It is the height of shamelessness for provocateurs coming in attack to talk about the AA and the preservation of the agreements on non-aggression.

The puppet group is going so ridiculous as to describe the DPRK's resolute decision as "threat" and "psychological warfare".

The aggressors and provocateurs should face up to the prevailing situation.

They are sadly mistaken if they misinterpret the present grave situation as a verbal confrontation just as they did in the past.

The provocateurs will not be able to escape retaliatory blows at any moment.

The army and people of the DPRK will blow up all the strongholds and bases of the aggressors and provocateurs fond of playing with fire as they had declared before.

The disturbers of peace, war provocateurs and the chieftain of fratricidal confrontation can never find their shelters to escape our just strike.

The south Korean puppet group had better behave itself.

Indonesian Political Party Supports Just Measures Taken by DPRK

Pyongyang, March 14 (KCNA) -- The Pioneer Party of Indonesia expressed full support for the statement issued by a spokesman for the Supreme Command of the Korean People's Army (KPA).

The party in a statement on Mar. 7 said:

The statement issued by a spokesman for the KPA Supreme Command declared that the DPRK would take the second and third strong practical counteractions in succession, totally nullify the Korean Armistice Agreement and stop all the activities of the Panmunjom mission of the KPA.

The Pioneer Party of Indonesia fully supports the important measure as just step for defending the sovereignty and dignity of the nation and the supreme interests of the country.

The U.S. and the forces following it should immediately stop their racket for additional "sanctions" against the DPRK and adventurous joint military exercises.

The U.S. should clearly understand the revolutionary mettle of the army and people of the DPRK that never make an empty talk.

Koreans in US Oppose War Maneuvers

Pyongyang, March 14 (KCNA) -- Koreans in the U.S. launched actions to denounce the joint military exercises kicked off by the U.S. and south Korean puppet warmongers and their "sanctions" racket against the DPRK.

Koreans in Washington, Los Angeles, New York, Chicago and other areas of the U.S. on March 10 sent an open letter to the U.S. president in the name of the U.S. Regional Committee of the Overseas Side Committee for Implementing the June 15 Joint Declaration and other organizations and individuals.

They in the open letter said that "sanctions" and pressure are by no means a peaceful solution, adding the "sanctions" against the DPRK sparked off only tension and crisis in the past also.

They demanded an immediate start of the DPRK-U.S. dialogue for concluding a peace treaty on the Korean Peninsula, nullification of the UN Security Council's "resolution on sanctions" that was initiated by the U.S. and a halt to the U.S.-south Korea joint military exercises.

The Federation of Koreans in the U.S. in a statement on March 8 demanded the U.S. come out for dialogue with the north, not a war.

Members of the U.S. Central Regional Committee of the Overseas Side Committee for Implementing the June 15 Joint Declaration staged a demonstration in Chicago on March 9 denouncing the north-targeted war maneuvers.

Members of the U.S. Regional Committee of the Overseas Side Committee for Implementing the June 15 Joint Declaration and other Koreans in the U.S. staged a protest before the UN Headquarters in New York on March 11.

They demanded the U.S. stop at once all war maneuvers including the Key Resolve and Foal Eagle joint military exercises that wreak peace on the Korean Peninsula and increase the danger of a war there, products of the U.S. hostile policy toward the DPRK.

There also took place before White House in Washington, and in Los Angeles and other areas of the U.S. demonstrations of Koreans in the U.S. to slam the U.S. hostile policy toward the DPRK.

US-S. Korea Joint Military Exercises under Fire

Pyongyang, March 14 (KCNA) -- The Regional Headquarters of Commonwealth of Independent States of the Pan-national Alliance for Korea's Reunification (Pomminryon) on March 10 released a statement denouncing the joint military exercises Key Resolve and Foal Eagle being staged by the U.S. and south Korean puppet forces.

The war exercises involving huge nuclear strike forces and armed forces of satellite states are now being staged under the signboard of "annual exercises," the statement noted, adding that they bring to light the aggressive scenario of the U.S. to ignite a nuclear war on the Korean Peninsula in view of their scale and nature.

The U.S. is the arch criminal threatening global peace and security as it is staging the dangerous nuclear war exercises in the biggest hotspot in the world where a tough-and-go situation prevails, the statement said, and went on:
The Regional Headquarters of Commonwealth of Independent States of Pomminryon fully supports the just measures for self-defence declared by the Supreme Command of the Korean People's Army through the statement of its spokesman to protect the supreme interests of the country in view of the grave situation prevailing on the Korean Peninsula.

The statement urged the U.S. and its allies to stop the war maneuvers for aggression at once.

FM Spokesman Slams UN Secretary General

Pyongyang, March 14 (KCNA) -- A spokesman for the Foreign Ministry of the DPRK gave the following answer to a question raised by KCNA Thursday in connection with the fact that the UN secretary general has slandered the DPRK by openly pursuing the U.S. hostile policy toward it:
UN Secretary General Ban Ki-moon has recently let loose a string of invectives slandering the inviolable dignity and sovereignty of the DPRK, all the while defending the U.S. hostile acts against it.

Ban said that he was deeply concerned about the violation of the resolution of the UN Security Council, in clear reference to the DPRK's peaceful satellite launch and the nuclear test for self-defence. He also made such a coarse invective that the Korean leadership must make efforts to scrap nuclear program and improve the people's living. He even defended the U.S. nuclear war exercises against the DPRK.

This proves that he has become so biased as to openly support the hostile forces in their moves for stifling and isolating a sovereign state, a UN member, oblivious of the elementary principle of activities as an official of the international body.

Unbecoming his post as UN Secretary General, Ban is not yet away from his behavior of kowtowing to the U.S. as south Korean "minister of Foreign Affairs and Trade". There is outcry among public often that it is unclear whether he is a spokesman for the U.S. Department of State or south Korean "minister of Foreign Affairs and Trade".

He should observe neutrality, impartiality and objectivity in his work, to begin with, as becoming his position.

If Ban has even an iota of conscience as a Korean, he should not add oil to the flames, subservient to the U.S., but come to his senses and do something helpful to national unity and the peaceful reunification of the country.
