Empowerment lobby outfit Affirmative Action Group (AAG) has urged the business community to vote for President Mugabe in the forthcoming harmonised elections, saying his outstanding leadership qualities have led to the empowerment of indigenous Zimbabweans.
In a statement yesterday, AAG national president Dr Keith Guzah said the Head of State and Government and Commander-in-Chief of the Zimbabwe Defence Forces continues to stand against undue criticism from regime-change proponents who seek to exploit the country’s natural resources.
Dr Guzah said his organisation supports President Mugabe’s candidature in the forthcoming harmonised elections.
“The Affirmative Action Group hereby endorses the candidature of Cde R. G. Mugabe in the 2013 harmonised elections.
“We salute his resolute stance towards total and uncompromised empowerment for all Zimbabweans,” he said.
“Historically, Baba Mugabe has exhibited without question, unparalleled leadership qualities and his understanding and comprehension of world politics has left leaders in the West wondering how they can politically divide our nation and create chaos in a bid to install a puppet regime and continue their repressive recolonisation antics under the guise of a global ‘new order’.
“The Indigenisation and Empowerment Act augmented the Land Acquisition Act, thereby concretising the commanding heights of our economy into the hands of indigenous Zimbabweans.”
