Pan-African Journal Focuses on 33rd Anniversary of Zimbabwe Independence

On April 18 the Southern African nation of Zimbabwe has commemorated the 33rd anniversary of its national independence. The country won its liberation through a decade-and-a-half long armed struggle against settler-colonialism.
The United States State Department has again expressed its hostility towards the growing relationship between the People's Republic of China and the African continent.
U.S. Secretary of State John Kerry made statements to this effect recently when he announced that he would attend the upcoming African Union (AU) summit in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia which will be commemorating the 50th anniversary of the founding of the Organization of African Unity (OAU), its predecessor.
There has been a cool reaction to the death of former British Prime Minister Margaret Thatcher on the African continent. Thatcher for years opposed sanctions against the former racist-apartheid regime in South Africa in contravention to the aspirations of Africans on the continent and throughout the world.
And finally, more criticism has been leveled against the role of the International Criminal Court (ICC) and its exclusive persecution and prosecution of African leaders. Greater crimes against humanity committed by the imperialist states are ignored or even encouraged by corporate media and the so-called international legal system.
