President Robert Mugabe of the Republic of Zimbabwe is attending an African development conference in Japan. President Mugabe urged the Japanese through their African investments to promote the enhancement of technology on the continent.
Also attending the African development conference in Japan is President Jacob Zuma of the Republic of South Africa. There are 40 African leaders who are participating in the event, the fifth of its kind since 1993.
There has been a response by the Cuban Foreign Ministry to the continuing provocations by the United States government against the revolutionary island-nation of Cuba. Despite claims by Washington that Havana supports terrorism, the U.S. still hosts and finances terrorists who have worked against Cuba for decades.
Two U.S. drones have been brought down over the Horn of Africa nation of Somalia. Even though Barack Obama has said that the White House is re-evaluating its drone policy, Somalia and other states are still being pounded by these offensive weapons daily.
The program also contains commentaries by broadcast journalist Mumia Abu-Jamal and an extended discussion on the Africa-Japanese Summit from Kenya Citizens Television.
