In the second hour we continue our commemoration of Women's History Month highlighting the contributions of African American poet Gwendolyn Brooks. Also a rare interview with Paul Robeson in 1958 will be highlighted focusing on the impact of the Cold War and the struggle for African American and African freedom.
Finally in the third hour we present an interview with historian Herbert Aptheker who wrote extensively on African resistance to slavery as well as serving as the literary executor of Dr. W.E.B. Du Bois. This interview is conducted by historian William Loren Katz.
