Rouhani: Cause of Terrorism and Wars Is Colonialism, Military Interference

New York, SANA – Iranian President Hassan Rouhani stressed the need to prevent foreign intervention attempts in other countries’ affairs.
In a speech during the 70th session of the United Nations General Assembly in New York on Monday, Rouhani called for forming a “unified front” to confront terrorists and extremists in the Middle East.
He stressed that Iraq and Syria are two examples of the sufferings of peoples because of extremism and occupation, highlighting that roots of current wars, destruction and terrorism are occupation, colonialism and military interference that had taken part earlier in the region.
