The Syrian Army Restores Security to Kensseba Town and More Areas in Lattakia and Two Villages in Aleppo

Provinces, SANA- Units of the army and armed forces, in cooperation with popular defense groups, on Thursday restored security and stability to Kenssaba town in the northern countryside of Lattakia, a military source told SANA.

Shalaf Citadel, Toubal Citadel, Ard al-Baiyadat, Rweiset al-Qashmar, Rweiset al-Kaniseh, Rweiset al-Shmeis and Points 844 and 722 in the same countryside also came under the army’s control.

Later, the army, in cooperation with popular defense groups, restored security and stability to al-Qamou mountain and Beir Binjarou village in Lattakia northern countryside.

Army units killed dozens of terrorists while others fled away leaving amounts of weapons and ammunitions behind.

The army also dismantled the landmines and explosive devices which terrorists were planted earlier in the area.

Terrorist organizations acknowledged on their pages on social media sites the death of the terrorist Abu Qatada al-Jazraw, a leader in “Jabhat al-Nusra”.

Earlier Wednesday, army units in cooperation with popular defense groups established control over the southern side of the citadel, Sheir al-Qaboa, al-Amouli Mountain and Point 422 and restored security and stability to the villages of Marj al-Zawiyeh near Kansaba and the villages of al-Aidou and al-Qastal.

Daraa

Field sources told SANA that units of the army clashed with terrorists who had infiltrated to Tal Qrein in al-Sanameen town, killing the majority of them.

Earlier, an army unit targeted hideouts and sites for terrorist organizations in intensive operations in Daraa al-Balad area in Daraa city.

The army’s operations, which were focused in al-Bajabjeh and al-Manshiyeh neighborhoods among other areas, resulted in destroying positions, vehicles, a mortar launcher and a machine gun site for the terrorists.

Homs

Army units restored stability and security to al-Makasir and al-Matahen area on the road to Mahsa al-Sharqi and al-Qaryatin in the southeast countryside of Homs.

Meanwhile, a unit of the army killed a number of Jabhat al-Nusra terrorists and injured many others in Tir Ma’ala village to the north of Homs.

Hama

A unit of the army killed 20 terrorists who had tried to infiltrate from al-Qarqour region into one of the military points in al-Ghab plain in Hama countryside.

Aleppo

Army units restored stability and security to al-Sin village in the eastern countryside of Aleppo after eliminating the last ISIS’ gatherings in it.

Jub Ghabsheh village in Hreitan area also came under the army’s control.

Army units destroyed vehicles and fortifications for ISIS terrorists in Tal Arbash, 30 km east of Aleppo city, and in the villages of al-Qaroutiyeh, al-Zaalaneh and Treidem, 6km north of al-Sfeira city.

Another army unit targeted terrorists’ dens in Qabasin town, located north of al-Bab city, destroying many of their vehicles and weapons.

A number of terrorists were killed as their positions were hit by the army in al-Barqoum village, 27 km southwest of Aleppo city.

More sites for the terrorists were destroyed in army operations in al-Halak, al-Shqeif, Maaret al-Artiq and Yaqed al-Adas village on the northern and northwestern outskirts of Aleppo city.

Deir Ezzor

Around 74 ISIS terrorists were killed during army operations against their gatherings in the eastern Deir Ezzor province carried out during the past 24 hours.

A source on the ground told SANA that an army unit killed 16 terrorists in al-Sinaa neighborhood in Deir Ezzor city, noting that most of those are foreigners.

Another army unit destroyed a vehicle transporting 13 terrorists at Ghassan Abboud roundabout in the city.

All six members of a terrorist group also were killed as their hideout was hit in al-Huweiqa neighborhood. The source confirmed that the group’s leader, who is Chechen, was among the dead.

The army units operating at Deir Ezzor Military Airport killed 8 terrorists in the surroundings of the airport.

In the western countryside of Deir Ezzor province, a mortar was destroyed and 12 terrorists were killed in al-Hossan village.

To the east of Deir Ezzor city, an army unit killed 19 terrorists in al-Jafra village. All of those killed are Chechen and Jordanian, according to the source.
