The program will feature our regular PANW report with dispatches on the recently-held South African local governmental elections; the trade negotiations taking place between Zimbabwe and South Africa; people throughout the region are gearing up for the celebration of the 90th birthday of former Cuban President Fidel Castro; and the Obama administration continues to bomb the North African state of Libya.

During the second hour we focus on the beginning of the annual commemoration of Black August.

In this episode we look at the literary interpretation of the so-called Nat Turner rebellion in Virginia duriing August 1831.

Finally we listen to a classic archived address by the-then Prime Minister Fidel Castro of Cuba speaking at Harvard University in 1959.
