The President of Guinea-Bissau, José Mário Vaz, begins an official visit to Cuba this Wednesday, which will conclude on October 1st.

According to sources at the Cuban Foreign Ministry cited by Prensa Latina, the President will hold official talks with President Raúl Castro and undertake other activities during his stay.

Cuba and the West African nation maintain historic cooperation ties, which have resulted in the training of thousands of young Bissau-Guineans in various specialties.
