In a fraternal atmosphere, both leaders discussed the excellent state of relations between the two countries, as well as important cooperation projects and opportunities to strengthen bilateral ties. They also reviewed key topics on the international agenda.
The distinguished visitor was accompanied by Wang Yi, minister of Foreign Relations; Xu Shaoshi,chairman of the National Development and Reform Commission; Miao Wei,minister of Industry and Information Technology; Gao Hucheng, minister of Trade; Luo Shugang, minister of Culture; Zhang Tuo Chinese ambassador to Cuba; and other senior delegation officials.
Participating on the Cuban side were Miguel Díaz-Canel Bermúdez, first vice president of the Councils of State and Ministers of Cuba; Marino Murillo Jorge, a Council of Ministers vice president; Ricardo Cabrisas Ruiz, minister of Economy and Planning and a vice president of the Council of Ministers; Rodrigo Malmierca Díaz, Maimir Mesa Ramos and Abel Prieto Jiménez, ministers of Foreign Trade and Investment, Communications, and Culture, respectively; Marcelino Medina González, interim minister of Foreign Affairs; in addition to other Foreign Ministry representatives.
