Vietnamese Delegation to Cuba for Memorial Service of Fidel Castro
Hanoi, Nov 27 (Prensa Latina)

A high-level Vietnamese delegation headed by the member of the Communist Party Political Bureau and National Assembly President Nguyen Thi Kim Ngan will attend in Cuba to the tributes to the late leader of its Revolution, Fidel Castro.

A note from the Foreign Ministry released here today indicates that the Vietnamese delegation will travel tomorrow to Havana for such purpose and it will remain in the Cuban capital until Wednesday.

This demonstration of solidarity with the Cuban government and its people is announced a day after the highest authorities in Vietnam sent a message of condolences to their counterparts on the Caribbean island.

The text describes the physical disappearance of the guerrilla commander as the loss of a close friend and comrade, while recognizing him as the leader of the movement fighting for peace, independence, freedom and socialism.

We are confident that at this painful time, the communists and Cuban people will remain united under the leadership of the Party and President Raul Castro to fulfill Fidel's dreams, it is added.

The news of Fidel's death, accompanied by passages of the life of the revolutionary fighter, the reactions of the authorities and the signs of solidarity, occupy important spaces in the press of this nation, where the phrase 'For Vietnam we are willing to offer even our own blood' is being frequently quoted.
