Nigerians Urged to Patronize Domestic Gas

The Managing Director,  Gas Aggregation Company of Nigeria, Mr Morgan Okwoche, an engineer has called on Nigerians to make use of domestic gas to increase revenue for the Federal Government.

He also called for its promotion among Nigerians.

Mr. Okwoche made the call yesterday at the presentation of an honourary award of excellence on him by the National Association of Northern Nigeria Students in Abuja.

 “Petroleum  experts have it that Nigeria is a gas province with little oil in it this implies  that gas has the potential to generate more revenue to the country than crude oil both from domestic market and export,” he said.

Chief Okwoche, whose contribution to the oil and gas sector, with special focus on domestic gas utilisation and monetization, said he felt honoured to be a recipient of the award.

Eminent and patrotic Nigerians who have received the award in the past include;  Dr Olushola Saraki, Prof. Ango Abdullahi, Prof Jibrin Aminu, Maj. Shehu Abdulkadir, Prof Ishaq Oloyede ,Col. Sani Bello, Alhaji Maitama Sule, Prof. Olugbemiro Jegede among others.

Earlier, the President of the association, Comrade Daniel Enyi said the recipient was awarded for his believe in accountability, transparency and dedication to service in Nigeria.
