DPRK May Day Significantly Marked Across Country
All the people in the DPRK significantly enjoyed May Day, international holiday of the working people in the world.

Colorful celebrations took place in Pyongyang and other parts of the country.

Art performances by national art troupes in Pyongyang and sports and amusement games of working people took place at theatres, parks and pleasure grounds in the DPRK.

A concert was given by the National Symphony Orchestra at the Moranbong Theatre and a musical dance and poem "'Arirang' Story" at the Ponghwa Art Theatre.

Multifarious pieces including physical acrobatics, funny acrobatics, illusionary jugglery and other forms of jugglery were put on the stages of the Pyongyang Circus Theatre and the Magic Theatre of the National Acrobatic Troupe.

Pieces of acrobatics and juggleries reflecting thoughts and feelings and desire of the Korean people were put on the stage at the Mangyongdae Amusement Park to please the audience.

Artistes of the Phibada Opera Troupe and the National Folk Art Troupe gave performances at the Rungna People's Pleasure Park and the plaza of South Gate at the foot of Mt Taesong.

Sports games of builders in the capital of Pyongyang took place at the Kim Il Sung Stadium.
Multifarious art performances and amusement games were held at factories, enterprises and cooperative farms across the country.

Senior Party and State Officials Enjoy May Day together with Working People

Senior party and state officials significantly enjoyed May Day together with working people across the country.

Pak Pong Ju, Kim Ki Nam and other senior party and state officials, vice-premiers of the Cabinet, officials of the party and power bodies went to the Hwanghae Iron and Steel Complex, the Namhung Youth Chemical Complex, the State Academy of Sciences, the Pyongyang Kim Jong Suk Silk Mill, the Chongsan Co-op Farm in Kangso District, the Chollima Steel Complex, the Pyongyang Kim Jong Suk Textile Mill, the Migok Cooperative Farm in Sariwon City and other institutions, industrial establishments and farms to congratulate workers, agricultural workers and intellectuals on May Day.

They laid floral baskets and bouquets before the statues of President Kim Il Sung and Chairman Kim Jong Il and portraits of the smiling great leaders and mosaics depicting them before paying tribute to them.

Going round the revolutionary museums, rooms dedicated to the history of the relevant units and other places, they felt once again the undying exploits of the peerlessly great men who turned the country into an invincible power.

The senior Party and state officials and other officials across the country met with innovators creating labor feats and encouraged their successes, listening to their stories about the great upsurge and great innovations on the fronts for building a socialist power.

Together with the working people they conducted colorful sports and amusement games such as tug-of-war and enjoyed art performances.

They called upon all the working people to faithfully uphold the leadership of Supreme Leader Kim Jong Un and achieve a series of successes with the might of self-reliance and self-development and glorify the Conference of Mallima Frontrunners as the one of victors.
