Missing Residents of Grenfell Tower Fire in West London
Family and friends have taken to Facebook and Twitter to appeal for news of their loved ones who have not yet been found

Artist Khadija Saye, who friends are searching for along with her mother Mary Mendy

Saye, 24, is a photographer, who recently exhibited her work at the Venice Biennale. She commented excitedly on her Facebook page: “It’s been a real journey, tears shed, highs and lows, but mama, I’m an artist exhibiting at the Venice Biennale and the blessings are abundant!” Saye is believed to have been living in a flat with her mother, Mary Mendy. She is a friend of David Lammy, the MP for Tottenham, who appealed for information. Lammy took to Twitter to say the young photographer was a “dear friend, a beautiful soul and emerging artist”. Saye had posted photographs of the London cityscape taken from the apartment.
Mary Mendy
According to records, the 53-year-old is registered as living in the tower block for at least 20 years.
She is believed to have been living on the 17th floor of the building.
Sheila Smith
Adam Smith appealed for information about his 84-year-old mother, Sheila. Sheila is believed to have been living at flat 132 in the building.
Mariem Elgwahry
Friends appealed for information about Elgwahry, who is believed to have been living on the 19th floor. One woman posted that the 27-year-old had last been heard from at 2.30am and was with her mother when she called. According to records, a man called Ahmed Elgwahry was also living in the property.
Tony Disson
Friends and family appealed for information about Disson, who was living in flat 194, according to electoral records. Lee Disson took to Facebook to say: “If anyone has seen my Dad, Tony Disson could they let us know. My heart goes out to all the people at grenfell tower.”
Jessica Urbano
Jessica Urbano Ramiez, 12, was on the 20th floor of Grenfell Tower when the blaze broke out and is still unaccounted for.
Family members of Jessica, 12, were appealing for information after she became separated from her family. Ana Ospina, a makeup artist, said she had visited a number of hospitals trying to find out about her niece. She was also reported to have been put into an ambulance.
Nurhuda El-Wahabi and her brother, Yasin
Council records showed that the El-Wahabi family lived at flat 182. Friends took to social media to ask for information.
Nadia Choucair
Council records showed that Nadia and Malak Choucair were living in flat 193.
Nadia, 33, worked as a nursery officer at the Avondale Park primary school. A resident called Hulya, who lives close to the scene of the fire, told the Telegraph: “Nadia’s daughter rang a friend saying: ‘I don’t think I’m going to make it.’ It’s heartbreaking.”
Ali Yawar Jafari
Ali Yawar Jafari, 82, was living on the 10th floor.
Hamid Ali Jafari took to Twitter to appeal for information about his father, Ali Yawar Jafari. He said that the 82-year-old was living on the 10th floor of the building.
Saber Neda, 57.
Family members appealed for information about Neda, whose birth name was Mohammed. According to records, Neda lived in flat 205 in the building with his family. He is understood to have stayed behind because he has been injured and his family have not had any contact with him since 3.30am. His wife, Shakila, 45, and son, Farhad, 24, reportedly fled the blaze.

Friends of Nura Jamel said that she had contacted them from the building as the fire took hold. According to records, Jamel was living at flat 192. Hibo Yussuf, 35, a friend of the missing woman, told the Telegraph: “We’ve heard that Nura’s daughter is in hospital but hasn’t been able to get hold of her mum. Nura called one of her friends to say, ‘Forgive me, the fire is here, I’m dying.’”
Raymond ‘Moses’ Bernard
A family friend has confirmed to the Press Association that Raymond Bernard, 65, known to friends as Moses, is missing after the fire. He was registered to flat 201 in Grenfell Tower, along with a 53-year-old woman called Karen Bernard. They had lived there since at least 2003.
Mo Tuccu
The Red Consultancy appealed for information about one of its employees, Mo Tuccu. The Soho-based PR company said that Tuccu had not been seen since visiting relatives in the building last night.
Karim Musilly spoke to his uncle Hesham Reman, 57, on the phone at 1.30am. He lives on the 19th floor and has not been heard from since.
“He said there is a fire in the building, he had phoned the police who said stay in your flat and put a wet towel under the door. He was getting really worried because the smoke was coming in. Then the phone went dead.”
