The program features our regular PANW report with dispatches on developments throughout the continent and the world.

This week we look at the condemnations from the African Union and other international entities related to the racist remarks uttered by United States President Donald Trump denigrating the continent and the people of Haiti; the Southern African state of Zimbabwe is on the verge of opening up the sale of diamonds on the global market once again; people in the North African state of Tunisia are continuing their protest demonstrations against the economic crisis inside the country; and there has been another mutiny of soldiers in the West African nation of Ivory Coast.

In the second and third hours we commemorate the 89th birthday of the martyred Civil Rights, social justice and peace leader Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.

We examine his convergence of the struggle against the U.S. in Vietnam and the necessity of eliminating poverty as prerequisites to the realization of a genuinely democratic society.
