Leadership School for Six African Countries Launched in Tanzania

DAR ES SALAAM, July 16 (Xinhua) -- Party leaders from six African countries laid the foundation stone for a leadership school in Tanzania on Monday.
The Julius Nyerere Leadership School, co-founded by six parties in southern Africa, is located at Kibaha, some 40 kilometers from the commercial capital Dar es Salaam.
The six parties are Revolutionary Party of Tanzania, the African National Congress of South Africa, the Mozambique Liberation Front Party and the People's Movement for the Liberation of Angola, the SWAPO Party of Namibia and the Zimbabwe African National Union-Patriotic Front.
The groundbreaking ceremony was attended by high level officials including general secretaries of the six parties as well as Song Tao, head of the International Department of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China (CPC) and Tanzanian President John Magufuli.
Xi Jinping, general secretary of the CPC Central Committee, on Monday also congratulated the groundbreaking ceremony of Julius Nyerere Leadership School.
Xi said in a congratulatory message that the six parties in southern Africa are the important forces to lead the national liberation and economic construction in their respective countries.
Jointly building Julius Nyerere Leadership School is an important move for the six parties to strengthen their self-construction and improve their governing capacity and will play an active role in promoting the development and progress of their respective countries, Xi said.
CPC stood side by side with the six parties in southern Africa in their struggles for national independence and liberation and nurtured profound friendship, said Magufuli, adding that the six parties thanked the CPC for its continued support.
