SACP in Gauteng Welcomes Implosion of DA-EFF Concocted Coalition
28 August 2018

The South African Communist Party (SACP) in Gauteng Province welcomes the latest developments that demonstrate beyond any shadow of doubt that the unprincipled, opportunistic and reactionary coalition of convenience between the Democratic Alliance (DA) and Economic Freedom Fighters (EFF) is finally teetering on the brink of collapse.

We were vindicated when members of the EFF in the Gauteng Legislature today devoured and blasted Mayor of Tshwane Solly Msimanga and the DA, thus laying bare the reality that this coalition is still-born.

We were also shocked by the unprecedented high levels of racial slurs and venomous exchanges between the DA and EFF in the house today proving beyond any shadow of doubt that the horses have long bolted and the coalition is antiquated.

We had consistently stated that the coalition between the DA - which tends to drift between conservative, right-wing and neo-liberalism on the one hand - and the EFF, which tends to shuttle between neo-fascist, racial populism and left-wing childishness on the other, merely constitutes an ideologically toxic concoction of a shameful type.

We are confident that the crisis-ridden and scandal-prone City of Tshwane Mayor Solly Msimanga, and now a gloomy DA Premier candidate for Gauteng is now fast approaching his political dustbin of history as Mayor, and certainly candidate Premier of the DA.

We are sure that this twin-tragedy hovering above the DA in our province and the deeper crisis it faces nationally signal the end of this racist party founded on the individuality and personal image of the colonialist and racist bigot Helen Zille.

We believe that the deepening crisis and implosion within the enemy camp and Imperialist puppets calls for the maximum unity of the Alliance as the most profound historic basis to unite motive forces of the National Democratic Revolution (NDR) in general and the working class in particular.

We are even more convinced that the deepening crisis within the enemy camp paves the way for a decisive electoral victory of the revolutionary Alliance in our province to push back the frontiers of counter-revolution led by the DA-EFF coalition.
