Talks Held Between Kim Yong Nam and Miguel Mario Diaz-Canel Bermudez
There were talks between Kim Yong Nam, president of the Presidium of the Supreme People's Assembly of the DPRK, heading the DPRK delegation on an official visit to the Republic of Cuba, and Miguel Mario Diaz-Canel Bermudez, president of the Council of State and president of the Council of Ministers of the Republic of Cuba, at the office building of the Council of State on the afternoon of November 29.
Kim Yong Nam said that he was pleased to visit Cuba at a time when an important turn has been provided in developing the friendly relations between the DPRK and the Republic of Cuba.
He expressed the conviction that the bilateral relations based on revolutionary principle and comradely obligation would grow stronger amid the common struggle for socialism against imperialism.
Miguel Mario Diaz-Canel Bermudez said that he could not forget the excitement of his visit to the DPRK and having an impressive meeting with Supreme Leader Kim Jong Un.
Saying that he would cherish as a valuable memory the warm hospitality shown by the Party, government and people of the DPRK, he sincerely hoped that Kim Jong Un would continue to victoriously lead the revolutionary struggle of the Korean people in good health.
Exchanged at the talks were views on political dialogue and the relations of support and cooperation between the two countries, developing the non-aligned movement and other issues of mutual concern.
The talks proceeded in a comradely and friendly atmosphere.
Present there from the DPRK side were Pak Thae Song, vice-chairman of the Central Committee of the Workers' Party of Korea, and other suite members of the DPRK delegation and Ma Chol Su, DPRK ambassador to the DPRK, and from the opposite side were Bruno RodrÃguez Parrilla, foreign minister of the Republic of Cuba, and officials concerned.
