Workers and Trade Union Members Meet
An oath-taking meeting of workers and members of the General Federation of Trade Unions of Korea (GFTUK) took place at the Central Hall of Workers on December 13 in the run-up to the seventh anniversary of the demise of Chairman Kim Jong Il.

It was attended by Choe Hwi, Vice-Chairman of the Central Committee of the Workers' Party of Korea, trade union officials, and workers and trade union members in Pyongyang.

Ju Yong Gil, chairman of the Central Committee of the GFTUK, made a report which was followed by speeches.

The reporter and speakers said the revolutionary life of Kim Jong Il was the great one of a peerless patriot who had defended the destiny of the country and the nation and devoted his all to the building of beautiful future for the people with a sense of obligation for the country and the revolution, iron will and outstanding leadership.

They recalled that the foundation for building a powerful socialist nation was laid thanks to the great efforts of Kim Jong Il who had made high-intensity forced march for field guidance to every part of the country for the development of economy and improvement of people's living standards.

They called for working hard to display the spirit of the heroic Kim Il Sung-Kim Jong Il working class and bring earlier the final victory in building the powerful socialist nation under the guidance of Supreme Leader Kim Jong Un.
