Supreme Leader Kim Jong Un Sends Congratulations to Cuban President
Pyongyang, October 12 (KCNA) -- Kim Jong Un, chairman of the State Affairs Commission of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea, sent a congratulatory message to Miguel Mario Diaz-Canel Bermudez upon his election as president of the Republic of Cuba on October 11.

Supreme Leader Kim Jong Un in the message extended the sincere and warmest congratulations and cordial comradely greeting to Miguel Mario Diaz-Canel Bermudez upon his election as president of the Republic of Cuba in accordance with the general will of the Cuban people at the 4th Special Session of the 9th National Assembly of People's Power of Cuba.

Your assumption of heavy responsibility as president of the Republic of Cuba is an expression of the absolute trust and expectations of all the Cuban people in you and a firm guarantee for victoriously advancing the revolutionary cause permeated with red blood and soul of the forerunners generation after generation, the message said.

The message expressed the conviction that the new state leadership of Cuba would certainly win a brilliant victory in the struggle for resolutely smashing all sorts of challenges and pressure by the hostile forces, defending socialism gained at the cost of blood, achieving prosperity of the country and providing the people with bigger happiness under the energetic guidance of the Cuban president.

The Party, government and people of the DPRK will always stand by the Cuban party, government and people unflinchingly advancing along the road of independence, justice and socialism and make all efforts to boost the friendly and cooperative relations between the two parties and countries as required by a new era, it added.

It sincerely wished the Cuban president good health in happiness and great success in his important and responsible work.
