DPRK and Russia Hold Talks on Korean Peninsula Issue
The DPRK and Russia held bilateral talks in Moscow on September 29.

Choe Son Hui, director for North American Affairs of the DPRK Foreign Ministry, had talks with roving ambassador Burmistrov of the Russian Foreign Ministry, and met with deputy foreign minister Igor Morgulov.

At the talks they had in-depth exchange of opinions on matters of mutual concern including the Korean peninsula situation and bilateral relationship.

Choe said that to ease the tension and ensure peace and security in the peninsula and Northeast Asia the US should drop the policy of hostility to the DPRK.

The Russian side showed understanding of the DPRK side’s stand and expressed its willingness to make concerted efforts to diffuse the tension in the Korean peninsula.
