Abayomi Azikiwe, the Editor of the Pan-Afrikan News Wire, will speak in Toronto Saturday, Sept. 13th, 7pm at O.S.I.E., 252 Bloor Street West. Azikiwe will expose the Canadian Broadcasting Corporation (CBC’s) bias against Robert Mugage of Zimbabwe.
Azikiwe has worked for many years as a broadcast journalist on five different radio stations in Detroit and Toronto. Azikiwe, an anti-imperialist, serves as the spokesperson for Michigan Emergency Committee Against War & Injustice (MECAWI).
He has been a fierce critic of the imperialist wars in Iraq and Afghanistan. As a Pan-Afrikanist he has attempted to broaden the anti–war movement to include Afrika and Haiti in to the anti-war mix.
Azikiwe can be heard every Thursday at 9:30pm on Diasporic Music on http://www.ckln.fm . Today he is also the guest for Dr. Gerald Horne's segment on Saturday Morning Live http://www.ckln.fm at 11:30am.
