Public Meeting to Examine the U.S. Role in the Hidden War in Congo and Somalia

Abayomi Azikiwe, editor of the Pan-African News Wire and author of a new pamphlet entitled: "The Hidden War in Congo", will be speaking on the current situation in the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC) and Somalia. The meeting will be held on Saturday, December 13, 2008 from 5:00-8:00 p.m. at 5920 Second Ave. at Antoinette, near the WSU campus.

Azikiwe, is the editor of the Pan-African News Wire, an electronic press agency that covers events throughout the continent and the world. This editor has spoken recently in various cities throughout the United States and Canada.

Also at this meeting, there will be reports on the ongoing struggle for a moratorium on foreclosures and evictions in the state of Michigan and throughout the country. In addition, plans for the upcoming annual Detroit Martin Luther King, Jr. Day March and Rally on January 19, 2009 will be discussed.
