Upcoming Events in Detroit: Public Forum on Police Violence & Protest Against the Arizona Diamondbacks

1) Detroit area public forum on "Police Violence in the Period
of Economic Crisis: the Killing of Aiyana Jones." Saturday, June 12 at 7:00 PM at 5920 Second Avenue, just north of Wayne State U. Sponsored by Workers World.

2) Southeast Michigan mobilization: Protest against the racist,
anti-immigrant Arizona law (SB1070) when the Arizona Diamondbacks come to Detroit to play the Tigers. Friday, June 18 at 5:30 PM at the West Entrance to Comerica Park (just east of Woodward Ave., north of Adams St.). Join the national outcry against this apartheid "show me your papers" law and also protest the Michigan legislators who are planning to introduce similar legislation in this state.
