Anoud al-Senussi, the daughter of the former Director of Intelligence, Abdullah al-Senussi, has been reportedly released by rebels inside the North African state of Libya. Intelligence chief al-Senussi is languishing in a rebel prison after having been turned over by the government of Mauritania in September 2012.
In the Southern African nation of Zimbabwe the diamonds mined in Marange are poised to be leaders in the international gem's market. Marange diamonds are mined in an area covering over 120,000 hectares.
Demonstrations have been held across the United States and the world saying no imperialist-led war against the Middle Eastern nation of Syria.
These demonstrations will continue today in Detroit and Monday at the White House demanding that Obama's war machine should be removed from Syria.
Finally, recent revelations related to the massive spying operations conducted by the National Security Agency (NSA) has brought to the fore the question of: who owns the internet? The U.S. ruling class through the NSA and other intelligence agencies are demanding that all online sources hand over their encryptions to the state.
Our guest for the program was Obi Egbuna, the U.S. correspondent for the Zimbabwe Herald. Egbuna discussed the recently held harmonized elections in Zimbabwe as well as other issues related to African affairs.
