There are fears that the signing of an oil deal in the Horn of Africa nation of Somalia may create greater instability inside the country.

News also surfaced this week that the al-Shabaab Islamic resistance movement had its twitter account suspended.

Jobs figures released on Friday September 6 indicate that the economy inside the United States remains depressed. Although the data says that 169,000 jobs were created in August, the labor participation rate is the lowest since 1978.
