Abayomi Azikiwe, editor of the Pan-African News Wire, was once again a featured guest on the African History Network hosted by Michael Imhotep. Azikiwe for the second week in a row discussed the legacy of the late former South African President and African National Congress (ANC) leader Nelson Mandela.
Mandela made his transition on Thursday December 5, 2013. Since Mandela's passing there has been a fierce struggle over defining his political legacy for South Africa, the sub-continent, Africa as a whole and indeed the world.
Azikiwe reviewed in this program the tributes paid to Mandela by the South African government, regional states and the western corporate media.
The guest has traveled to South Africa and other regional states conducting research on the history and culture of the African people.
The Pan-African News Wire editor is a frequent guest on a myriad of programs and publications where he analyzes developments in Africa and throughout the world.
