HAVANA.—Army General Raúl Castro Ruz, President of the Councils of State and Ministers, yesterday September 1, sent congratulations to the Communist Party, government and people of Vietnam on the occasion of festivities commemorating the 70th anniversary of the nation’s independence.
His message extended sincere, fraternal congratulations in the name of Cuba’s Communist Party, government and people was addressed to Nguyen Phu Trong, Party general secretary, Truong Tan Sang, the nation’s President, and Prime Minister Nguyen Tan Dung.
In his message, Raúl additionally reaffirmed Cuba’s firm commitment to continuing efforts to strengthen cooperation between the two countries and maintain the relationship based on long-standing friendship.
