This segment aired over the international news broadcast by RT worldwide satellite television network based in Moscow earlier today, Dec. 25, 2015.
The United States has led a war of regime-change in the Middle Eastern state of Syria since early 2011. Hundreds of thousands of people have been killed while 11 million were displaced both inside and outside the country.
Like the situation in Libya, Iraq, Afghanistan and Yemen, U.S. imperialism through its militarist foreign policy is creating more instability throughout the globe. At present its is estimated that over 60 million people are displaced making it the worse of such a crisis since the conclusion of World War II.
Azikiwe, a frequent news analyst over RT, maintains that the withdrawal of U.S. interests in Syria could go a long way in restoring some semblance of normality inside the country as well as throughout the regions of the Middle East and North Africa. The so-called Islamist extremist organizations are largely a creation of Washington and Wall Street's foreign influence in the regions.
